Alex Preston was born in 1979. He lives in London with his wife and two children. He previously worked as a trader at The Carlyle Group and is now studying for his PhD full-time. This Bleeding City is his first novel, and is published by Faber in the UK, Allen and Unwin in Australia, People's Literature Publishing House in China, Elliot Edizione in Italy and Prometheus in Holland and Belgium.
